Job summary

Vaco in Richmond, BC, Canada, is seeking an Electrical Controls/Automation Engineer or Technologist to design, develop, and commission advanced ride control systems for international projects.

You will design electrical control systems and develop PLC/HMI programs using Siemens TIA Portal; support functional safety, system integration, and commissioning; travel internationally for assignments and lead customer handover. This on-site role requires 4 days on-site, full-time, 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related discipline.
• 4-6 years of industrial automation or controls experience.
• Knowledge of Siemens TIA Portal, IEC 61131-3, industrial networks, and ISO 13849.
• Strong electrical design, troubleshooting, and commissioning skills.
• Willingness to travel internationally for assignments lasting 2-3+ weeks.
• EIT designation is an asset; candidates must be registered or eligible for registration with EGBC.
