Job summary

Relay is seeking an Intermediate Accountant to own day-to-day accounting operations, drive AP automation, and support month-end close. You’ll partner with the finance team to ensure accurate records, bank reconciliations, and audit readiness while scaling processes with AI and automation.

A CPA-in-progress is preferred, and the role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration and internal control improvements.

Qualifications

• 1.5+ years of accounting experience in a professional setting.
• Comfortable with AP and month-end workflows.
• Pursuing CPA designation or equivalent is expected.
• Familiarity with US GAAP is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Own and automate the AP cycle to reduce manual touch points.
• Support month-end close with bank recs, journals, accruals, and variance analysis.
• Assist with year-end audit preparation and supporting schedules.
• Contribute to internal controls and process improvements.
• Build cross-functional relationships with stakeholders across the business.
• Drive automation and AI-powered efficiency in finance processes.
