Job summary

Canadian Executive Search Group is seeking a Controls Designer for one of our automation technology clients in Windsor, ON. The successful candidate will design electrical and pneumatic schematics for automated manufacturing equipment, working closely with Mechanical Designers, Controls Engineers, and shop floor personnel to ensure designs meet codes, project requirements, and timelines.

This role requires strong AutoCAD Electrical experience, attention to detail, and the ability to support

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of electrical design experience in automation or manufacturing.
Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical.
Experience creating electrical and pneumatic schematics for industrial equipment.
Strong knowledge of electrical controls, automation systems, and safety.
Excellent organizational and project management skills.

Responsibilities

Design electrical and pneumatic schematics for automated equipment using AutoCAD Electrical.
Create detailed drawings, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and control documentation.
Collaborate with Mechanical Designers, Controls Engineers, and shop floor teams.
Ensure designs comply with codes, standards, safety, and project timelines.
Support troubleshooting during build and commissioning; update drawings as needed.
Coordinate design changes and maintain organized documentation.
