Note: This role is working for Eurofins at a designated client's site in North York, ON.

We are seeking an experienced scientist with a proven track record of advancing the development of new vaccine projects, specifically focusing on formulations, including adjuvant technologies. The successful candidate will leverage cutting-edge automation platforms and high-throughput analytical methods to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of formulation development.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide specialized support in formulation development through the application of automation platforms and high-throughput analytical methods.
  • Formulation Development:
    • Design and execute formulation development experiments for vaccines.
    • Optimize formulations to enhance stability, efficacy, and manufacturability.
  • Implement automation solutions for high-throughput formulation development workflows.
  • Collaborate with the digital team to integrate software tools that facilitate automation processes.
  • High-Throughput Analytical Methods:
    • Develop and validate analytical methods to characterize vaccine formulations rapidly and efficiently.
    • Conduct stability studies and assess the physical and chemical properties of formulations.
  • Collaboration and Coordination:
    • Liaise with vendors for the procurement and maintenance of automation equipment.
    • Work closely with technical subject matter experts to refine workflows and troubleshooting protocols.
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and progress on project milestones.
  • Data Management and Reporting:
    • Collect, analyze, and interpret data from formulation experiments and stability studies.
    • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency in formulation development.
  • Stay updated with advancements in automation and analytical methods relevant to vaccine development.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS + 4-6 years of relevant experience, MS + 2-3 years of experience, or PhD + 0-2 years of experience.
  • Experience designing and executing vaccine formulation development using automation platforms.
  • Proven track record of making operations more efficient and maintaining high standards of proficiency and compliance.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task several projects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Engineering background with strengths in analytical characterization methods.
  • Experience with Freeslate CM3 automation systems.
