CSN Tri Star located in northwest Edmonton, serving Edmonton and area since 1986.

Position Summary: CSN Tristar Collision is looking for an Auto Body Technician to join our team. The technician must be able to repair or restore damaged vehicles to their original structural integrity, function, and appearance. The candidate should be detail-oriented and capable of multitasking to accommodate shifting priorities.

Primary Objectives:

  • Review damage reports and estimates, plan repair work.
  • Examine collision damage thoroughly, including exterior body parts, power accessories, and warning lights.
  • Perform structural and body repairs, including replacing front end components, doors, frames, and underbody parts.
  • Straighten bent frames using specialized equipment, hammer out dents and defects.
  • Weld on vehicles using MIG welders and spot welders.
  • Fully dismantle damaged areas to identify hidden damages, replace or repair parts, and repair or replace windows and windshields.
  • File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces with power and hand tools.
  • Mask and tape surfaces, apply primers, and repaint surfaces.
  • Use soldering equipment or plastic fillers to fill holes and dents.
  • Restore vehicles to factory specifications, inspect, and test drive for proper handling.
  • Read and understand repair estimates and procedures.
  • Work with various metals, plastics, glass, electrical, and mechanical parts.
  • Use frame and measuring equipment; disassemble and reassemble vehicles.
  • Follow standardized production processes and represent CSN professionally.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • At least 3+ years of auto body repair and refinishing experience.
  • Certifications from I-Car and OEM are favorable; welding certification is an asset.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs, stand, sit, reach, and perform physical tasks.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Own tools and safety footwear.
