Job summary

Craftsman Collision in Coquitlam, BC is seeking a full-time Autobody Technician to join our growing team. We are Canada’s largest independently owned auto body repair chain, offering a supportive environment, modern facilities and ongoing training.

You will review damage reports, repair body components and ensure quality by test-driving repaired vehicles; a Red Seal or equivalent, 4+ years experience, and a valid Class 5 license are required. Compensation includes $30-$35/hour plus bonuses.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English required.
• At least 4 years of autobody experience.
• Valid Class 5 driver's license.
• Legally entitled to work in Canada.
• Red Seal certification or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Review damage reports and plan repairs.
• Repair or replace body components and frames.
• File, sand and finish body surfaces.
• Inspect and test-drive repaired vehicles.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace.
• Operate with state-of-the-art equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Review damage report and estimates of repair cost and plan work to be performed
• Clean and maintain work space
• Replace front end components, body components, doors and frame and underbody components
• File, grind and sand body surfaces to be repaired
• Hammer out dents, buckles and defects using blocks and hammers
• Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills and bolt or weld replacement parts into place
• Repair or replace interior components
• Inspect repaired vehicles and test drive vehicles for proper handling
• Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment
