CSN Dundas Valley Collision Centre, a trusted industry leader in auto body repair since 1979, was proudly recognized as the 2023 CSN Shop of the Year in Canada. Now, as our first-ever CSN Concept Store, this state-of-the-art, 10,000-square-foot facility located in Dundas, Ontario, stands at the forefront of innovation. With 11 OEM certifications, including Tesla, this high-performing shop will serve as the central hub for piloting groundbreaking initiatives and streamlining processes. Our mission is to drive growth, enhance performance, and simplify operations across the CSN network.

Primary Objectives of the Auto Body (Collision Repair) Technician:

  1. Review damage report and estimates of repair cost and plan work to be performed
  2. Inspect collision damage, checking the entire exterior, power accessories (locks, windows, mirrors), and dash for warning lights. Note any previous damage missed during QA
  3. Perform structural and body repairs, including front end, body panels, doors, frames, and underbody. Replace or repair interior, exterior, electrical parts, and accessories as needed
  4. Use frame-straightening equipment to fix bent frames and hammer out dents and defects
  5. Perform welding using MIG and spot welders
  6. Fully dismantle damaged areas, including blend panels, to uncover hidden damage early. Remove and replace fenders, panels, grills, and glass (windows, windshields, sunroof) using hand tools and cutting equipment
  7. File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces, using power tools and hand tools
  8. Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting, apply primers and repaint surfaces
  9. Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents, and seams
  10. Restore vehicle to factory specification (Return the vehicle back to factory/OEM specifications)
  11. Inspect repaired vehicles and test drive vehicles for proper handling
  12. Be a great CSN ambassador
  13. Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

  • Auto Body Repair and refinishing experience - 3+ years required
  • Technicians with I-Car and OEM certifications are favorable
  • Physical ability to carry, lift (up to 100 lbs), stand, sit, walk, reach
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Up-to-date compliance training (AODA, WHMIS, Worker Health and Safety Awareness, Workplace Violence and Harassment) and knowledge of PIPEDA
  • Experience or working knowledge of Mitchell / Audatex (must be able to read and understand estimates)
  • Ability to read and comprehend automotive repair procedures
  • Experience working with metals, plastics, glass, electrical, and mechanical parts
  • Experience using frame and measuring equipment
  • Experience with disassembly and reassembly of vehicles
  • Willingness to follow standardized production processes
