The role offers a flat hourly rate with a potential production bonus based on efficiency. The position requires journeyperson or Red Seal certification and solid experience with painting preparation, masking, sanding and finishing.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in automotive repair as an Autobody Technician.
• Journeyperson or Red Seal certification required.
• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools for repair work.
• Prepare vehicles and parts for painting with masking and sanding.
• Buffing, wet sanding and polishing of painted vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Assist with disassembly and support production; mentor other technicians.
• Follow OEM repair procedures and perform post-scan calibration as needed.
• Maintain a team-focused, safe, high-quality repair environment.
• Meet deadlines while delivering quality repaired vehicles.
• Conduct equipment audits and detect faults; operate tools efficiently.

In this position you will play a crucial role in our mission to provide top-notch automotive repair services.

Overview/Responsibilities:

• Assisting with disassembly and the overall production and mentor other technicians.
• An understanding of vehicle systems and technology and the need to look up and follow OEM repair procedures as well as pre and post-scan of all vehicles and calibrate modules as necessary.
• A team-oriented attitude with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and collaborative work environment.
• A demonstrated positive, work ethic and take pride in delivering a quality repaired vehicle
• The ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines.
• The ability to perform equipment audits to check for acceptable performance and detect faults and possible malfunctions.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools to complete repair tasks efficiently
• Conduct heavy lifting as needed to handle vehicle parts and equipment
• Collaborate with team to ensure quality repairs and customer satisfaction
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working on vehicles

Requirements:

• Proven experience in automotive repair as an Autobody Technician.
• Journeyperson or Red Seal certification required.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for repair work.
• Preparing vehicles and vehicle parts for painting.
• Masking and sanding of vehicles and parts prior to painting.
• Buffing, wet sanding and polishing of painted vehicles.
• Attend all daily and/or weekly production meetings.
• Strong mechanical knowledge to diagnose and fix vehicle issues accurately.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with the role.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality workmanship.
