Job description

New Flyeris North America's heavy-duty transit bus leader and offers the most advanced product line under the Xcelsior and Xcelsior CHARGE brands. We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Autobody Repair Technician to join our team in Arnprior, Ontario. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing autobody repairs and refurbishing heavy-duty transit buses, ensuring high-quality workmanship and attention to detail.

What You'll Do:

  • Removal and reinstallation of various bus components including, windows, doors, mirrors, lights, seats, stanchions, and flooring, interior and exterior body panels
  • Repair, sand, prime, and finish interior and exterior surfaces
  • Assist with chassis and structural de-rusting and cleaning
  • Clean and repair components as part of bus refurbishing
  • Apply protective coatings and underseal structural components
  • Remove and replace electrical, hydraulic, and air components as needed
  • Work independently or collaboratively on heavy-duty transit bus repairs
  • Painting experience or interest in learning to paint is considered a strong asset

What You Need To Be Successful:

  • Previous experience in autobody repair, preferably in a heavy-duty or transit environment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Ability to work safely and efficiently both independently and in a team setting
  • Willingness to learn and take on new tasks (including painting, if inexperienced)
