Qualifications

This brand-new, 25,000 square-foot facility is packed with the latest technology and equipment, setting the stage for exceptional repairs and top-tier customer service.

Located in Maple Ridge, and supported by three of the area's leading dealerships—Maple Ridge GM, Maple Ridge Chrysler, and Maple Ridge VW—our collision centre is ready to make a big impact on the community. We're looking for passionate, skilled professionals to join our dynamic team and help us deliver the highest quality collision repairs in the region.

Your area of focus.

The Autobody Refinishing Technician is responsible for repairing and refinishing damaged vehicle exteriors by applying paint, coatings, and finishing products. Their duties include prepping surfaces by sanding, smoothing, and cleaning, mixing and matching paint colors, and applying multiple layers of paint or clear coat to restore the vehicle’s appearance. They must ensure the finish is smooth, consistent, and free of imperfections, while also using specialized tools and equipment to achieve the desired results. Attention to detail, knowledge of different automotive finishes, and the ability to follow safety procedures are essential to ensuring high-quality, long-lasting repairs.

What drives your day to day?

  • Review damage reports, prepare and review repair cost estimates and plan work to be performed
  • Perform quality repairs on a variety of vehicles
  • Mask and tape, prime and paint body surfaces, using tools such as paint spray guns and motorized sanders
  • Inspect repaired vehicles for proper completion of work, dimensional accuracy, and overall appearance of paint job

What are the must haves?

  • Experience working as a body and/or body refinishing technician
  • Red Seal Certification would be considered an asset
  • Completion of a related post-secondary program and/or training courses
  • Knowledge of manufacturers' repair/refinishing processes & adherence to processes
  • Ability to use selected vendor materials efficiently and cost-effectively
  • I-CAR certification training and I-CAR certification would be considered assets
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and a safe driving history
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
