CSN Dundas Valley Is owned and operated by CSN Collision, for the purposes of being a concept Store. CSN Dundas Valley is a collision facility that strives to make the collision repair experience better today than it was yesterday. This location will be part of testing concepts, products, and other opportunities for growth and performance of the Network.

Position Summary:

CSN Dundas Valley is currently hiring a skilled and meticulous Auto Body Prepper to become a valued member of our team. The primary duties of the Auto Body Prepper involve preparing vehicles for the painting process, which includes tasks such as sanding, priming, and masking. This role also offers the potential for advancement within our paint department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sand the vehicle surfaces using various products and tools appropriate for the type of repair, to create a smooth surface for painting
  • Apply masking tape and paper to protect areas of the vehicle that will not be painted
  • Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer
  • Ensure proper adhesion of paint by removing dirt, debris, and imperfections from the surfaces
  • Assist with mixing paint and primers according to manufacturer specifications
  • Assist with operating and maintaining painting equipment and tools
  • Collaborate with the painting team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality work
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager
  • Perform processes set by paint manufacturer
  • Previous experience as an Auto Body Prepper or in a similar role
  • Knowledge of different types of sanding and masking techniques
  • Familiarity with automotive paints, primers, and painting equipment
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Strong problem-solving and time management skills
  • Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid driver's license
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Icar designation and certification are an asset.
  • Experience refinishing in a back up capacity to the main painter is an asset.

Schedule:

8-hour shift, Monday to Friday, additional as required.
