Autobody Collision and Refinishing Technician (NOC 72411)

Salary: $25.00 hourly / 40 hours per week
Terms of Employment: Permanent employment, Full time

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years

On Site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Responsibilities & Tasks:

1. Estimate repair cost based on damage examination report
2. Inspect repaired vehicles
3. Plan repair work to be performed
4. Test drive vehicles for proper handling
5. Replace front end components, body components, doors, and frame and underbody components
6. File, grind, and sand body surfaces to be repaired
7. Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting
8. Hammer out dents, buckles, and defects using blocks and hammers
9. Remove damaged fenders, panels, and grills and bolt or weld replacement parts into place
10. Apply primers and repaint surfaces
11. Repair or replace interior components
12. Mix paint, blend and match colors
13. Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents, and seams
14. Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment
15. Maintain, repair, and calibrate precision measuring instruments
16. Inspect products to ensure quality and conformity to specifications
