Job summary

Boyd Autobody & Glass is hiring a skilled Auto Glass Technician to install automotive glass in-shop or on mobile jobs, ensuring high-quality workmanship. You must have post-secondary auto repair training and red seal certification, with at least 3 years of glass experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of Post-Secondary Education in an Automotive Repair Program.
• Minimum 3 years of Auto Glass Technician experience.
• Red Seal certification.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Installs auto glass and other auto glass products in-shop or on a mobile basis.
• Utilizes the proper tools and techniques to ensure efficient, timely, and quality installation service.
• Ensures required paperwork is completed and turned in to the appropriate person or location.
• Maintains a safe and acceptable driving record in accordance with company policy.
• Load glass in the van.
• Immediately follow up with the General Manager on any problems that arise in the installation of the glass.
• Seek learning opportunities ensuring all work meets high quality standards, maintaining a low return rate and supporting operational excellence.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Post-Secondary Education in an Automotive Repair Program

Minimum 3 years of Auto Glass Technician experience

Red Seal certification

Other Requirements

• Travel, physical requirements, etc.
• Frequently required to bend, crouch, reach, handle tools and lift approximately 50 lbs.
• You have your own tools
• Valid driver’s license required

Compensation Details

Compensation: $28 per hour. Compensation is commensurate with skill, education and experience.
