Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an Auto Desk Adjuster to join our team remotely in Canada. The position location is flexible, and we can offer in-office, hybrid, or fully remote working arrangements.

The successful candidate will investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle commercial and personal lines claims on the desktop using a variety of techniques and systems. They will direct field adjusters on a task basis as required and participate in ensuring accurate recording, reporting, and presentation of files.

Responsibilities
  • Investigation, collection, and analysis of claims information
  • Accurate recording, reporting, and presentation of files
  • Evaluate coverage, liability, and quantum
  • Maintain accurate billing, and time and expense records
  • Negotiate, settle, and finalize claims
  • Work with managers to maintain client relations
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year of technical experience handling auto claims
  • Post-secondary education in an insurance-related field working towards full Independent Adjusting License and CIP Designation
  • Knowledge of commercial and personal lines in both Property and Auto PD is an asset
  • Ability to conduct telephone investigations, evaluate, negotiate, and settle first and third-party commercial lines claims
  • Proficient in maintaining accurate and detailed activity, transaction, and reserve records
  • Advanced computer skills including Office 365 and Windows 10
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be a team player with a strong commitment to quality and customer service
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong analytical and mathematical ability
  • Bilingual in French/English is an asset
