Job summary

Boyd Autobody is seeking an Auto Body Technician to perform structural and non-structural repairs, disassemble, repair and reassemble vehicles, and collaborate with the team to meet KPIs.

The role requires a minimum of 3 years of Auto Body experience, welding skills (MIG/TIG), and a valid driver’s license. Red Seal/310B is preferred; I-Car certification progress is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of post-secondary Auto Body Repair program.
• Minimum 3 years of Auto Body Technician experience.
• Welding experience (MIG, TIG).
• Red Seal or 310B is preferred.
• I-Car Certification (working towards Gold Class).

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Repair damage to vehicle body panels.
• Vehicle disassembly and reassembly.
• Repair or replace interior and exterior parts, electrical components, and vehicle accessories.
• Remove and install welded and sectioned parts to a vehicle.
• Assess and repair structural components of a vehicle.
• Use of frame equipment.
• Apply new knowledge and skills to ensure a high level of quality and productivity, which directly contributes to KPI's (Sales/ CP/ EBITDA/ BHPD/ NPS).
• Take responsibility for outcomes and continuously seek learning opportunities to improve performance.

Job Description

The Auto Body Technician is responsible for structural and non-structural repairs, and will disassemble, repair, and reassemble each vehicle. The Auto Body Technician works with all team members in achieving the repair facilities' KPIs.

Minimum Education and/or Experience Required for the Job High School Diploma or equivalent Completion of Post-Secondary Education in an Auto Body Repair Program Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Minimum 3 years of Auto Body Technician experience Welding experience (MIG, TIG welding) Preferred Education and/or Experience Red Seal or 310B is preferred I-Car Registered (working towards Gold Class certification)

Travel, physical requirements, etc. You are able to lift up to 50 Lbs You have your own toolbox Valid driver’s license required

Compensation Details

Hourly: $30 - $32 per hour, Flat Rate Compensation is commensurate with skill, education and experience.
