Job summary

Boyd Autobody & Glass is hiring for an Auto Body Technician at our Edmonton location. You will repair body panels, disassemble/reassemble vehicles, and replace components, while adhering to the WOW plan and quality standards.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma and completion of an Auto Body Repair Program; MIG/TIG welding experience is a plus and a valid driver’s license is required. Competitive hourly pay and strong benefits are offered.

Job Description

Location: 103rd Ave, Edmonton, Alberta

Key Job Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan
• Repair damage to vehicle body panels
• Vehicle disassembly and reassembly
• Repair or replace interior and exterior parts, electrical components, and vehicle accessories
• Remove and install welded and sectioned parts to a vehicle
• Assess and repair structural components of a vehicle
• Use of frame equipment
• Apply new knowledge and skills to ensure a high level of quality and productivity, which directly contributes to KPI's (Sales/ CP/ EBITA/ BHPD/ NPS).
• Take responsibility for outcomes and continuously seek learning opportunities to improve performance

Minimum Education and/or Experience Required for the Job

High School Diploma or equivalent Completion of Post-Secondary Education in an Auto Body Repair Program.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Minimum 3 years of Auto Body Technician experience
• Welding experience (MIG, TIG welding)

Preferred Education and/or Experience

• Red Seal or 310B is preferred
• I Car Registered (working towards Gold Class certification)

Other Requirements

• Travel, physical requirements, etc.
• You are able to lift up to 50 Lbs
• You have your own toolbox
• Valid driver’s license required

Compensation Details

Hourly: $30 - $34 per hour, Flat Rate Compensation is commensurate with skill, education and experience.
