Job summary

Boyd Autobody & Glass is actively hiring an Auto Body Technician to perform structural and non-structural repairs. The role involves disassembling, repairing, and reassembling vehicles, while collaborating with team members to meet KPIs and quality standards.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years of Auto Body experience and welding skills (MIG/TIG). A High School Diploma and post-secondary auto body training are preferred. Valid driver’s license required. Competitive pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Auto Body Technician experience.
• Welding experience (MIG, TIG welding).
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of Post-Secondary Education in an Auto Body Repair Program.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Repair damage to vehicle body panels.
• Vehicle disassembly and reassembly.
• Repair or replace interior and exterior parts, electrical components, and vehicle accessories.
• Remove and install welded and sectioned parts to a vehicle.
• Assess and repair structural components of a vehicle.
• Use of frame equipment.
• Apply new knowledge and skills to ensure a high level of quality and productivity, which directly contributes to KPI’s (Sales/ CP/ EBITA/ BHPD/ NPS).
• Take responsibility for outcomes and continuously seek learning opportunities to improve performance.

The Auto Body Technician is responsible for structural and non-structural repairs, and will disassemble, repair, and reassemble each vehicle. The Auto Body Technician works with all team members in achieving the repair facilities' KPIs.

Minimum Education and/or Experience Required for the Job

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of Post-Secondary Education in an Auto Body Repair Program

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Minimum 3 years of Auto Body Technician experience
• Welding experience (MIG, TIG welding)

Preferred Education and/or Experience

• Red Seal or 310B is preferred
• I-Car Registered (working towards Gold Class certification)

Other Requirements

• You are able to lift up to 50 Lbs
• You have your own toolbox
• Valid driver’s license required

Hourly:

$25 - $33 per hour, Flat Rate

Compensation is commensurate with skill, education and experience.
