Job summary

Boyd Autobody & Glass in Edmonton is seeking an Auto Body Technician to perform structural and non-structural vehicle repairs, disassembly and reassembly, and collaborate with teammates to meet KPIs and deliver high quality work.

Qualified candidates have a minimum 3 years of auto body experience and MIG/TIG welding skills, a high school diploma or equivalent, and completion of an auto body program; Red Seal or 310B is preferred and owning a toolbox is advised.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of Post-Secondary Education in an Auto Body Repair Program.
• Minimum 3 years of Auto Body Technician experience.
• Welding experience (MIG, TIG welding).
• Red Seal or 310B is preferred.
• I-CAR Registered (working towards Gold Class certification) may be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW plan.
• Repair damage to vehicle body panels.
• Disassembly and reassembly of vehicles.
• Repair or replace interior and exterior parts and electrical components.
• Remove and install welded and sectioned parts.
• Assess and repair structural components of a vehicle.
• Use frame equipment.
• Pursue learning opportunities to improve performance.

Job Description

Location: 103rd Ave, Edmonton, Alberta

The Auto Body Technician is responsible for structural and non-structural repairs, and will disassemble, repair, and reassemble each vehicle. The Auto Body Technician works with all team members in achieving the repair facilities' KPIs.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan
• Repair damage to vehicle body panels
• Vehicle disassembly and reassembly
• Repair or replace interior and exterior parts, electrical components, and vehicle accessories
• Remove and install welded and sectioned parts to a vehicle
• Assess and repair structural components of a vehicle
• Use of frame equipment
• Apply new knowledge and skills to ensure a high level of quality and productivity, which directly contributes to KPI's (Sales/ CP/ EBITA/ BHPD/ NPS).
• Take responsibility for outcomes and continuously seek learning opportunities to improve performance

Minimum Education And/or Experience Required For The Job

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of Post-Secondary Education in an Auto Body Repair Program

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Minimum 3 years of Auto Body Technician experience
• Welding experience (MIG, TIG welding)

Preferred Education And/or Experience

• Red Seal or 310B is preferred
• I-Car Registered (working towards Gold Class certification)

Other Requirements Travel, Physical Requirements, Etc.

• You are able to lift up to 50 Lbs
• You have your own toolbox
• Valid driver's license required
