We are seeking a skilled Auto Body Technician / Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in auto body painting.
Responsibilities
- Use hand tools and power tools to perform bodywork, including welding, sanding, and painting.
- Replace or repair damaged panels, bumpers, and other components.
- Ensure all repairs meet industry standards and safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Document all repairs performed on vehicles for record-keeping.
Skills
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools related to auto body repair.
- Strong mechanical and painting knowledge.
- Experience in automotive repair, preferably within a manufacturing setting.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of spray painting (HVLP, electrostatic spray gun and pressure pot) are required.
- Familiar with all terms of painting.
- Detail oriented.
- Reading and writing skills.
- Full use of hands/fingers.
Working Conditions
- 40 hour work week (Monday to Friday, eight (8) hours per day).
- Fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Exposure to highly-toxic fumes.
- Work within a special-ventilated booth.
- Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Large amounts of time spent standing, bending, crouching, or stooping.
- Work with minimal supervision.
