Job summary

Boyd Autobody & Glass is seeking an Auto Body Technician to perform structural and non-structural repairs, dismantle and reassemble vehicles, and work with a team to meet KPIs. The role offers training, advancement opportunities, and a strong benefits plan after one month of employment.

The position requires 3+ years of Auto Body Tech experience, MIG/TIG welding skills, and a valid driver’s license. A Red Seal/310B or I-CAR progress is preferred, with emphasis on quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Auto Body Technician experience.
• Welding experience (MIG, TIG welding).
• Own your own toolbox and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Repair damage to vehicle body panels.
• Vehicle disassembly and reassembly.
• Repair or replace interior and exterior parts, electrical components, and vehicle accessories.
• Remove and install welded and sectioned parts to a vehicle.
• Assess and repair structural components of a vehicle.

The Auto Body Technician is responsible for structural and non-structural repairs, and will disassemble, repair, and reassemble each vehicle. The Auto Body Technician works with all team members in achieving the repair facilities' KPIs.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan

• Vehicle disassembly and reassembly
• Repair or replace interior and exterior parts, electrical components, and vehicle accessories
• Remove and install welded and sectioned parts to a vehicle
• Assess and repair structural components of a vehicle
• Use of frame equipment
• Apply new knowledge and skills to ensure a high level of quality and productivity, which directly contributes to KPI's (Sales/ CP/ EBITA/ BHPD/ NPS).
• Take responsibility for outcomes and continuously seek learning opportunities to improve performance

Minimum Education and/or Experience Required for the Job

High School Diploma or equivalent Completion of Post-Secondary Education in an Auto Body Repair Program

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Minimum 3 years of Auto Body Technician experience
• Welding experience (MIG, TIG welding)

Preferred Education and/or Experience

• Red Seal or 310B is preferred
• I-Car Registered (working towards Gold Class certification)

• Travel
• Physical requirements, etc.
• You are able to lift up to 50 Lbs
• You have your own toolbox
• Valid driver's license required

Compensation Details

Hourly: $25 - $33 per hour, Flat Rate Compensation is commensurate with skill, education and experience.
