Job summary

Capital Chevrolet Buick GMC Inc in Calgary is seeking an Auto Body Technician to assess collision damage, estimate repair costs, and plan restoration work on vehicles. You will inspect vehicles, perform dent and frame repair, replace components, and prepare surfaces for painting.

The role requires a trades certificate or diploma (or equivalent experience), and a valid driver’s license. You will work on-site in a fast-paced shop with a focus on safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• Certification as Motor Vehicle Body Repairer required.
• Auto Body Repairer Trade Certification required.
• Experience with body components, frame straightening, and paint processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Estimate repair costs based on damage examination report.
• Inspect repaired vehicles and plan repair work.
• Test drive vehicles for proper handling.
• Replace front end components, body components, doors and frame and underbody components.
• Mask and tape surfaces in preparation for painting and apply primers.
• Hammer out dents and replace damaged parts as needed.
• Mix paint, blend and match colors.
