Job summary

Boyd Autobody & Glass is seeking an Auto Body Prepper to prepare vehicles for refinishing, masking, priming, and applying coatings to achieve quality results. The role requires prioritizing accuracy and maintaining high standards while collaborating with team members across Western and Central Canada.

Minimum 3 years of prepper experience and a High School diploma are required; completion of an Auto Body Refinishing program is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of Prepper experience.
• Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment.
• Completion of Auto Body Refinishing program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surface for paint by masking, priming, and applying top coats.
• Apply primers, sealers, basecoats, colour coats, and clear coats.
• Prep surface for paint using hand and power tools.
• Identify dirt or imperfections on vehicle surfaces.
• Evaluate bodywork to ensure a quality paint job.
• Ensure consistent execution with high quality and productivity.
