Job description

ROCK is one of the premier providers in delivering Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services, offering an opportunity to work directly with families in real-world environments. In this role, you will design and implement behavior programs aimed at enhancing the client's quality of life. You will work under the supervision of the Manager of Autism and Behaviour Services as well as the Clinical Supervisor (Registered Behavior Analyst), ensuring that services are delivered in accordance with the principles and science of ABA.

As an Autism Therapist, you will collaborate with the team, other disciplines, and families using various settings such as virtual platforms, in-center, classroom, home, or community. Responsibilities include data collection, documentation, preliminary data analysis, training others using the BST model, and working collaboratively with Peer Support Providers.

The Role

As an Autism Therapist, you will support children and youth with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and Dual Diagnosis using ABA and neuro-affirming care practices. You will focus on communication, social skills, daily living skills, behavior management, play, leisure, and vocational skills. You will deliver individualized and group interventions under the supervision of a Registered Behavior Analyst (R.B.A. Ont), and may collaborate with other service providers as needed. Flexibility in work schedule is required to meet client and family needs.

You will prioritize client safety by following policies, reporting incidents, and supporting client-centered care in line with ROCK's principles. This is an hourly casual contract position ending on March 31, 2026.

Who We're Looking For

• Postgraduate diploma in Behavioral Sciences (e.g., Behavior Sciences and Technology, Autism and Behavior Sciences diploma).
• Preference for candidates working towards a master's degree in ABA.
• At least two and a half years of ABA experience with children and youth up to age 18, supervised by an R.B.A. (Ont).
• Experience with communication challenges, social skills, daily living, play, leisure, and vocational skills, including challenging behaviors.
• Experience with family and child-centered practices and collaboration.
• Experience delivering group and individual ABA interventions.
• Workshop facilitation experience is an asset.
• Experience with Project ImPACT and/or Naturalistic Developmental Behaviour Interventions is an asset.
