Job summary

Society for Autism Support and Services (SASS) in Alberta seeks a Psychologist or Provisional Psychologist for a full-time permanent role starting August 26, 2026. You will consult with children, youth, families, and staff across Out of Home Living, School Age, and Early Support programs.

Responsibilities include developing intervention strategies, delivering individual and group programming, and training parents and staff within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• A. or MSc or PhD in Psychology.
• Registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists.
• Clear Criminal Record/Vulnerable Sector Check and Intervention Record Check.
• First Aid and CPR certification.
• Understanding of Natural Developmental Behavioural Intervention.
• A minimum of one year of experience working with persons with autism spectrum disorders or neurodiversity.

Responsibilities

• Developing intervention strategies to address disruptive or unsafe behaviours
• Delivering individual and group programming
• Facilitating the development of self-help, play, social, and cognitive/academic skills within a multidisciplinary team
• Completing comprehensive psychological assessments (cognitive, academic, achievement, and diagnostic) with training provided
• Conducting ongoing training for parents, agency staff, and others regarding behaviour and developmental concerns
• Supervising or mentoring Behavioural Consultants in their work
