Job summary

Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital in Toronto is seeking a Research Coordinator for the Autism Research Centre. The role focuses on clinical trial execution, day-to-day operations, recruitment, data handling, and regulatory compliance under the PI and ARC leadership.

Qualified candidates will have a psychology/health-related degree with clinical research experience, ability to work in a multidisciplinary team, and strong skills in assessments, data handling, and family communication.

Qualifications

• An undergraduate degree in psychology or health-related field; postgraduate training is asset.
• SOCRA certification would be an asset.
• At least two years of clinical research experience.
• Ability to function independently, and yet collaboratively, within a research team.
• Experience with children, youth, and young adults with neurodevelopmental conditions is mandatory.
• Experience administering standardized psychometric, cognitive, and language assessments; asset (ADOS-2, ADI-R, WASI-II, etc.).
• Experience collecting biomarker data is asset (EEG, Eye Tracking).
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and research support to the Principal Investigator and research manager.
• Coordinate clinical trial activities, recruitment, study visits, data entry and submission to REB.
• Ensure compliance with REB, TCPS-2 and ICH-GCP.
• Submit to REB, coordinate revisions, maintain approvals and amendments.
• Maintain research files with consent, documents, and forms.
• Coordinate recruitment, scheduling, and informed consent processes with families.
• Coordinate collection and shipment of biological samples.
• Coordinate training of study team on procedures.
• Perform participant interviews, assessments or interventions per protocol.
• Score and enter data for standardized assessments and questionnaires.
• Conduct standardized psychometric, cognitive, and language tests in a research setting.
• Carry out independent, regular data collection and quality checks.
