Aurora Academic Charter School (AACS) is growing! We are adding a third campus and have doubled in enrollment over the last 3 years. This is a rare opportunity to join a dedicated team of teachers who have stayed with us for 5-20 years, thanks to our amazing students, parents, and community.

We are currently hiring for multiple teaching positions across all three campuses, from Grades 5 through 12.

Level: Grades 8, 9, 10-1, 20-1, 30-1
POSITIONS: Multiple specialist roles in: Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Math, English, Social Studies, Computer Science, Phys. Ed, Music, and French.

Job Details:

  • These are probationary positions with the potential to become permanent based on evaluations.
  • The successful candidates will be specialists in at least ONE of the above fields.
  • Class sizes range from 24-28 students, with a total campus enrollment of 460 students.

General Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Education Degree from an accredited institution
  • Current Alberta Teaching Certificate (interim or permanent)
  • Successful teaching experience in grades 8-12
  • Experience in a homeroom environment is beneficial
  • Experience teaching Advanced Placement or International Baccalaureate is a plus but not required for high school positions

  • Resume with specific courses taught and previous teaching positions
  • Recent performance review
  • Copy of Alberta Teaching Certificate (interim or permanent) – required. Applicants without a certificate will not be considered.
