What you'll do:

  1. Support audit testing on the conversion of Co-op Retailing System to JD Edwards.

  3. Participate in providing an independent, objective assessment of local Co-operative governance, risk management processes, and internal control structures by performing assigned reviews.
  4. Prepare and complete audit files, documenting all control testing and communicating any identified weaknesses or areas for improvement to the Co-ops Board and management.
  5. Assist in the preparation of financial statements and corporate tax returns.

Who you'll work with:

You will demonstrate customer focus while supporting local co-ops, working closely with the Audit Service team, and reporting to the Audit Manager. The team values work-life balance, efficiency, and supports personal and professional growth.

Why it matters:

We help local Co-ops grow and thrive by offering professional services including marketing, market research, information technology, human resources, accounting, risk management, and business development.

Who you are:

  • Have a bachelor's degree in business administration or commerce, with a major in accounting or finance preferred.
  • Have 3-6 years of relevant accounting, auditing, or retail operations experience.
  • Are actively working toward a professional designation in accounting (CPA) or auditing (CIA); relevant education, experience, and credentials may also be considered.

What we offer:

  • Competitive salaries, short-term incentives, a comprehensive benefits package, and an employer-contributed pension plan.
  • Encouragement to pursue learning opportunities for growth and development.
  • We operate as a co-operative, working together to serve Western Canadians, deliver profits back to communities, and invest in sustainable growth. To learn more, visit our website.
