We're partnering with a leading organization that's expanding its strategic footprint into a new Investment Dealer, and they're looking for an Audit Manager, Professional Practices to join their Retail Wealth Enablement, Operations department. This team is at the forefront of launching and nurturing their wealth management segment, with a critical focus on operational excellence and "first time right" process design. If you're passionate about optimizing processes, building strong relationships, and driving innovation in a cost-conscious environment, this role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the establishment of a market-competitive Investment Dealer.

You'll play a pivotal role in shaping the operational backbone of a new investment dealer, allowing you to make a significant impact from day one. This role also offers a hybrid work model, requiring only two days a week in their modern Toronto office, providing excellent flexibility.

Responsibilities

As an Audit Manager, Professional Practices, you'll be responsible for a diverse range of activities, from strategic planning to the hands-on execution of wealth management solutions. Your key responsibilities will include :

• Subject Matter Expertise : Acting as a go-to expert on initiatives related to day-to-day operational processes.
• Operational Excellence : Driving seamless and efficient operations within the wealth business through best-in-class process design and implementation.
• Stakeholder Liaison : Cultivating and maintaining robust working relationships with both internal stakeholders (advisors, compliance, product teams, management) and external partners (carrying brokers, third-party vendors, manufacturers).
• Ongoing Support : Providing crucial support for various projects aimed at establishing and enhancing the dealer platform.
• Processing : Managing securities dealer processes and daily requirements, including transaction processing, reconciliations, fee management, account management, and other operational tasks.
• Special Projects : Taking on additional special projects as requested, demonstrating adaptability and a proactive approach.

Qualifications

Must-Haves

Experience : 2-5 years of experience within the investment industry.

Education : A university degree.

Industry Knowledge : Strong understanding of the investment management industry and its products and services within the financial services market.

Analytical Skills : Excellent analytical capabilities.

Technical Proficiency : Advanced Microsoft Excel and other essential technical skills.

Attention to Detail : Exceptional attention to detail.

Time Management : Excellent time management skills.

Communication : Strong writing and communication skills.

Problem-Solving : A proven aptitude for problem-solving.

Teamwork : Demonstrated initiative and a strong ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Nice-to-Haves

Professional Designation : Enrollment in or completion of a professional designation (e.g., MBA, CFA).

Bilingualism (French / English) : Required only for candidates based in Quebec, as the position reports to a unilingual English-speaking manager outside of Quebec.
