We are looking for an

POSITION FUNCTION :

Under the direction of the Manager, the Audit, Compliance, and Quality Assurance Specialist (IELTS) is responsible for ensuring compliance with MOSAIC internal policies, British Council audit requirements, and quality standards. The role supports operational efficiency and risk mitigation through regular internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Prepare the team for British Council-mandated Program Test Day and Test Centre Management audits, evaluating:

o Audit of client file management, including testing documentation and audio files of speaking examinations.

o Observation of test day procedures, noting signage, material handling, test delivery, staff knowledge, and dress code.

o Site security, organization, and material storage audits.

o Employee documentation to ensure staff qualifications.

  • Prepare the team for spot audits on customer service conducted by the British Council.
  • Identify non-compliance issues or operational risks, recommend and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with IELTS coordinator and Assessment Manager for continuous compliance improvement.
  • Develop and implement quality control checklists and audit tools aligned with MOSAIC and IELTS standards.
  • Stay updated on IELTS and Cambridge Assessments standards and compliance expectations.
  • Provide guidance and training to staff on compliance and quality standards.
  • Prepare detailed quarterly and annual audit and QA reports, track follow-ups, and assist in corrective measures.
  • Be available for spot audits at different testing locations.
  • QUALIFICATIONS :

    • Post-secondary degree, diploma, or certificate in business management, computer science, quality management, or relevant experience in mathematics, statistics, auditing, or quality testing.
    • Knowledge of British Council and Audit Observation Document.
    • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
    • Experience working with new immigrants or related education/programs.
    • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, organization, and reliability.
    • Customer service and facilitation skills.
    • Excellent communication skills, tactful, versatile, and flexible.
    • Ability to deliver training in one-on-one or group settings.
    • Understanding of adult immigrant learners’ needs, aligned with MOSAIC’s philosophies.
    • Proficiency with MS Office, publishing software, online learning technology.
    • Strong English communication skills; other languages are assets.
    • Interpersonal skills, cultural awareness, ability to work independently and in teams.
    • Current and satisfactory criminal record check required.
    • Tactful, discreet, diplomatic, patient, and flexible.
    • Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

    HOURS : Full-time, 35 hours/week. Availability to work weekends required.

    This is a one-year fixed-term contract.

    Primary work location is in Surrey, Newton, at 200-7134 King George Blvd., Surrey, BC.

    BENEFITS :

    Competitive benefits package for contracts of at least 1 year with minimum 17.5 hours/week.
