Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Audit Assistant Manager to join our Audit & Assurance team in Bermuda. In this position, you will lead audit engagements, manage client relationships, and mentor junior staff. You will work closely with partners and senior managers to deliver high-quality audit services to a diverse portfolio of clients. This position offers the opportunity to develop your career in a dynamic and supportive environment, with exposure to complex and challenging assignments.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage audit engagements from planning through completion, ensuring compliance with professional standards and firm policies.

Supervise and mentor junior audit staff, providing guidance and support throughout the audit process.

Develop and maintain strong client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact during engagements.

Identify and resolve accounting and auditing issues, providing practical solutions to clients.

Review audit workpapers and financial statements for accuracy and completeness.

Assist in the development and implementation of audit methodologies and best practices.

Participate in business development activities, including proposal preparation and client presentations.

Industry Exposure

Experience auditing clients in the insurance, reinsurance, funds, or financial services sectors is strongly preferred.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, finance, or a related field

Minimum of 3 years of external audit experience, preferably with a Big 4 or mid-tier public accounting firm

Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP

Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills

Proficiency in audit software (e.g., Caseware) and Microsoft Office applications

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
