The Audit & Regulatory Interactions Team (ARI) serves as the central contact point for Technology & Operations (T&O) audit and regulatory interactions, partnering with key business units to provide guidance on audits and examinations, and to mitigate potential risks. The team also offers insights on regulatory trends and themes.

Mandate: This role primarily manages T&O regulatory exams and audits. The Senior Manager collaborates with all three lines of defense across T&O (including Enterprise, Canada, U.S., and international jurisdictions) to support exam and audit processes. Responsibilities include leading pre-readiness and debrief sessions, conducting deep dive reviews, providing feedback on submission materials, managing audit calendars, delivering executive reports, and aligning activities with testing and readiness assessments.

Accountabilities:

  1. Support the ARI team and broader risk functions in executing T&O audit and exam activities.
  2. Oversee pre-exam preparations, including documentation coordination and meetings.
  3. Gather and facilitate regulatory and audit deliverables.
  4. Lead efforts to compile documentation for examiner and audit meetings.
  5. Update stakeholders on exam and audit statuses, including issues.
  6. Assist in drafting management responses to findings and track remediation activities.
  7. Review exam results, identify themes, and apply insights across T&O.
  8. Provide updates to committees, regulators, and risk forums as needed.
  9. Promote understanding of regulatory and audit decisions and expectations.
  10. Contribute to projects such as creating audit and exam playbooks.

Knowledge and Skills:

Knowledge:

  • University degree or college diploma in a related discipline or equivalent experience (8-10 years in Regulatory Compliance/Risk Management)
  • Experience with examinations and remediation activities
  • Knowledge of banking risk types, policies, procedures, legal and organizational structures
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Spotfire reporting
