Baldwin Studio (BSAV) is seeking an experienced Audio-Visual technician for live and virtual events in the Ottawa area. BSAV operates a live events & creative services department alongside a state-of-the-art webcast and interpretation studio, allowing us to host virtual and hybrid events of various types. We are hiring for multiple roles on a full-time and contract basis.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

• Install, operate, and dismantle setups for live and virtual events
• Operate audio, video, lighting, interpretation, and virtual event equipment (not all skillsets required)
• Develop relationships with BSAV clients and deliver exceptional on-site customer service
• Coordinate effectively with BSAV operations and event staff
• Maintain warehouse and equipment
• Prepare events for shipping and unpack returned equipment
• Operate BSAV delivery vehicles safely as needed

Position Requirements & Skills:

• 2-5 years experience as an Audio-Visual technician
• Organized, detail-oriented, and responsive
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to learn new skills and follow BSAV event procedures
• Strong interpersonal skills, good judgment, and effective communication with diverse individuals
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 Suite and presentation software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Prezi)
• Must have received or be willing to receive a COVID-19 vaccine

Compensation Package:

• Salary Range: $52,500 - $65,000 per year
• Overtime pay after 44 hours/week
• Two weeks' vacation, Christmas shutdown (1-2 weeks), and statutory holidays
• Full benefits for employee and family
• Group RRSP plan
