Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Creates an atmosphere that encourages guests to choose Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa for gaming entertainment; actively builds and maintains guest relations and mentors team members to provide superior guest service.
  2. Collects and removes trash; cleans carpeted areas; removes gum and carpet spots; vacuums upholstered furnishings and fabrics; repositions furniture and equipment after cleaning.
  3. Sweeps, dust mops, and wet mops hard surface floors.
  4. Cleans and dusts all surfaces: walls, doors, hardware, games, furnishings, door glass, display cases, etc.
  5. Stocks, cleans, and sanitizes restroom fixtures and surfaces.
  6. Works cooperatively with supervisors and all other team members; complies with department procedures, schedules, and standards of performance.
  7. Observes and reports needed maintenance to buildings, fixtures, and equipment; reports any loss, damage, breakage, or safety threats.
  8. Assists in emergency clean-ups and provides coverage for absences.
  9. Attends and participates in meetings.
  10. Performs work regularly and predictably.
  11. Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing work and public spaces.
  12. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Typically acquired through two months of on-the-job training or related janitorial experience.

Physical Demands
  • Ability to stand and sit for extended periods.
  • Ability to walk distances.
  • Must frequently lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Working Conditions
  • Duties are performed in a highly regulated environment, with occasional presence on the Casino Floor, which may involve exposure to noise and other environmental factors.
