About Prime Performance & Therapy

At Prime', we’re more than a high-performance training facility – we’re a community with a combined team of sport conditioning coaches, Kinesiologists, Physiotherapists Chiropractors, Nutritionists, Naturopath, Sports Psychology and Massage Therapists. Based in Nanaimo, we specialize in unlocking the athletic potential of professional and aspiring young athletes and empowering all individuals of all backgrounds to move better, feel stronger, and thrive in life.

Prime’ Performance and Therapy is a busy clinic, and has earned the reputation of being amongst the top clinics in the central island.

Responsibilities

• September to March : 9:00am-3:30pm Monday-Friday as the Nanaimo Clippers head Athletic Therapist (+) availability to work at the Prime' Clinic after 3:30pm
• Provide comprehensive patient care by assessing and treating athletic injuries and conditions.
• Utilize medical terminology to document patient progress and treatment plans accurately.
• Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal care.
• Manage case files and maintain organized records using Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in hospital settings to enhance patient outcomes.
• Employ time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks efficiently.

This position will include on-field game coverage for some of the teams Prime' supports including:

1. Nanaimo Clippers

2. The Nanaimo Night Owls

3. Vancouver Island University teams

4. The Nanaimo Buccaneers

What We’re Looking For:

1+ years of clinical experience in athletic therapy

2+ years of field based athletic therapy coverage

Certified Athletic Therapist (CAT(C)) designation

Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Therapy/Kinesiology (or equivalent)

Registrant with the Canadian Athletic Therapist’s Association, in good standing

Professional Liability Insurance coverage

Excellent time management and organizational skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Experience with fitness assessments and program developmentis an asset

Additional certifications will be considered a plus

As Prime’s only Athletic Therapist we will offer you a highly lucrative 70% practitioner split, no long term contracts, and flexibility with your schedule. Payments are bi-weekly, including payments that have not yet been received from 3rd parties (Sunlife, Blue Cross, etc), and we offer our clients direct billing to most 3rd parties. Our management team is here to maximize your professional satisfaction and earnings.
