Nike Job Description Canada Athlete and Retail Operations Manager

Join the NIKE Team as an Athlete and Retail Operations Manager.

As an Athlete and Retail Operations Manager, you will contribute to Nike's success by providing knowledge and expertise to elevate the leadership and coaching capabilities of the upper field organization and third-party partners.

As a subject-matter expert, you will focus on the athlete journey to ensure efficient and consistent retail operations through the execution of Nike processes, policies, and objectives, while responding to the emerging needs of the business.

This is a field-based position, covering Canada. The role requires travel across Canada and quarterly meetings with Business Operations, including periodic travel to the United States. Expect approximately 60% travel.

Putting Your Best Foot Forward

  • Four years of customer-facing retail or hospitality experience.
  • Three years of leadership experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and retail business systems.
  • Valid Passport for periodic travel to the United States.
  • Reside within a 50-mile radius of Canadian Head Quarters.

  • Supporting multiple departments, large teams, and major projects or external customers.
  • Conveying complex information across cross-functional and senior leadership audiences.

  • Providing thought leadership and being recognized as a subject matter expert.
  • Synthesizing store operational programs and tools from World Headquarters and communicating their business impacts to upper field leadership.
  • Socializing new field programs and tools.
  • Leading training for new operational store processes and standards.
  • Educating retail teams on operational standards and processes.
  • Supporting retail teams with operational issues and partnering to find solutions.
  • Reinforcing safety and operational standards through Nike Swoosh Standards execution.
  • Leading field implementation of operational policies and processes.
  • Supporting operational strategy for the Retail Operations Captains (ROC) Firstline Program.
  • Acting as a conduit for field operational excellence with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Contributing operational expertise to Nike initiatives and programs.
  • Maintaining cross-functional partnerships to ensure operational consistency.
  • Leading change through effective communication and use of company platforms and systems.
  • Collaborating on operational planning, prioritization, and execution to support Nike’s priorities.
