Position Details:

  1. Number of Positions Available: 1
  2. Position Type(s): Full-Time
  3. Position Duration: Permanent
  4. Staff Accommodation: Yes (subject to availability)
  5. Wage Range: $15.00 Hourly, +Gratuity

Job Overview:

  1. Prepare and serve specialty food at customers' tables.
  2. Present bills to customers and accept payment in cash, credit or debit cards, travellers cheques or room billings.
  3. Describe menu items including daily specials for customers.
  4. Advise on menu selections.
  5. Describe and advise on wine selection.
  6. Serve food and beverages.
  7. Greet patrons, present menus, make recommendations and answer questions regarding food and beverages.
  8. Take orders and relay to kitchen and bar staff.

Position Requirements:

  1. English Fluency Level required for position: Intermediate
  2. Job Requirements: Standing for extended periods, work under pressure, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, fast-paced environment, bending, crouching, kneeling.
  3. Must be of legal age to mix and serve alcoholic beverages.
  4. Address customers' complaints or concerns.
  5. Enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations.
  6. Balance cash and record sales.
  7. Clear and clean tables, trays and chairs.
  8. Assist clients/guests with special needs.
  9. Provide customer service.
  10. Safe Food Handling certificate.
  11. ProServe program.
