Go live 1 details: December 6, 2025. 0.75 hours of training and 150 hours of scheduled work. The anticipated hire date is November 3, 2025. During training, candidates must be available for up to 75 hours between start date and December 6, 2025. Beginning December 6, full-time hours will be scheduled for a four-week period to provide hyper care support during Go-Live 1. Shifts may include days, evenings, nights, and weekends to align with 24/7 clinical operations. Flexibility in scheduling and site deployment is required.

Following the four-week Go-Live period, successful candidates will transition to a true casual status and may be re-engaged for subsequent Go-Lives throughout 2026 based on availability, performance, and organizational need. The ATE Support role for the OPOR project provides in-person and virtual support across the province during six Go-Live phases. This role involves shift work, with schedules varying by project stage. During Hypercare, 24/7 coverage is expected; Pre-Go-Live typically follows a standard Monday–Friday schedule. This flexible arrangement supports project delivery and work-life balance. Travel to Go-Live sites across Nova Scotia is required during Pre and Go-Live phases.

As an At The Elbow (ATE) Support Consultant, you will act as the primary liaison between healthcare professionals and the advanced technology systems they rely on. You will provide immediate, hands-on support for the OPOR CIS system and other key IT applications, deliver on-site assistance, resolve technical issues, and offer training to frontline staff to ensure efficient use of technology in patient care.

Casual Surge hires: These positions will be offered full-time for 6 weeks for each of the 6 Go-Lives throughout the province.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

Consultant Level 0

  • Post-secondary diploma or university degree required

Consultant Level 1

  • Post-secondary diploma in clinical, health science, information technology/clerical and/or health-adjacent field. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
  • 1-3 years working within a healthcare setting required

Consultant Level 2

  • Post-secondary diploma in a health science, information technology and/or health-adjacent field. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
  • 1-3 years of Go-Live support for EMR required. Cerner preferred

Consultant Level 3

  • Post-secondary diploma/degree in a clinical health science required
  • Licensed by your Provincial Regulatory Body required
  • 1-3 years hospital-based experience required

Consultant Level 4

  • Post-secondary diploma/degree as a Registered Nurse required
  • Registered with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing required
  • 1-3 years hospital-based experience required

Other Qualifications

  • Detail oriented and able to follow direction
  • Able to function well within a team setting and independently
  • Well-developed organizational and communications skills
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and ability for travel within the province
  • Previous Go-Live EMR support an asset
  • Previous experience supporting or using clinical application systems in a complex health care environment is a strong asset
  • Willingness to learn new skills and tasks
  • Ability to adapt to a high-change environment with some ambiguity in roles
  • Experience supporting physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners and RN prescribers is an asset

  • Consultant Level 1: $33.80 - $42.25 per hour

  • Consultant Level 3: $35.97 - $44.97 per hour
  • Consultant Level 4: $40.95 - $51.19 per hour
