Job summary

Right at Home Canada in Richmond Hill is seeking experienced PSWs to provide in-home 1:1 care for seniors. You will support companionship, personal care, and mobility with a compassionate, professional approach to help families maintain independence at home.

Ideal candidates hold Standard First Aid and CPR, pass a Criminal Background Check including Vulnerable Sector, and bring a friendly, patient, reliable communication style. Flexible schedules and mentorship opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Must love caring for seniors
• Must have a good sense of humour
• Must complete Criminal Background Check including Vulnerable Sector
• Current certification in Standard First Aid and CPR

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and social stimulation
• Initiate and promote physical activity at any level
• Plans, prepares and serves meals, as needed
• Prompt client to do his/her own personal care and assist with personal care if experienced
• Performs housekeeping duties such as sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming, dusting, washing dishes, and laundry
• Accompanies clients on outings such as doctor appointments or activities for mental and physical stimulation
