Job summary

Right at Home Canada in Vaughan seeks a compassionate Casual Personal Support Worker (PSW) to provide 1:1 client care for seniors at home, retirement communities, and hospitals. You will offer companionship, light housekeeping, meal prep, personal care, and assistance with activities of daily living, delivering reliable, respectful support in clients' homes.

Qualifications

• Current certification in Standard First Aid and CPR.
• Successful completion of a Criminal Background Check, including the Vulnerable Sector Screen (copy required).

Responsibilities

• Companionship: Provide social stimulation, conversation, and mental engagement.
• Active Living: Initiate and promote physical activity tailored to the client's abilities.
• Meal Preparation: Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals as needed.
• Personal Care: Prompt clients with their routine and assist directly with personal care.
• Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean environment (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, dishes, laundry).
• Outings & Appointments: Accompany clients to medical appointments and social activities.
