Position Details:

Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team at Papa George's Restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a strong culinary background, a commitment to quality, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining a clean and organized workstation, and contributing to a positive team atmosphere. This role offers an opportunity to showcase your creativity and culinary expertise while delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with established recipes and standards.
  2. Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and portion control.
  3. Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized workstation in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  4. Assist in inventory management, including checking and storing food supplies.
  5. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service.
  6. Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.
  7. Contribute to menu development and specials as needed.
  8. Handle food prep tasks, including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients.
  9. Assist in cleaning and closing duties to maintain kitchen standards.

Position Requirements:

  1. English Fluency Level required for position: Basic
  2. Proven experience as a Cook in a restaurant or similar setting (1-2 years preferred).
  3. Knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety, and kitchen equipment operation.
  4. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  6. Team player with excellent communication skills.
  7. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  8. Culinary school diploma or relevant certification is a plus but not required.
  9. Food Handler’s Certification (or equivalent) preferred.
