We are currently recruiting for a public accounting firm located on the South Shore, with a team of about twenty professionals. They are looking for a Director of Assurance Services. This firm offers the flexibility of 100% remote work.

Your responsibilities:

1. Plan, organize, and oversee assurance engagements (audit, review, compilation) for privately owned SMEs across various industries.
2. Review and sign off on assurance files, ensuring compliance with professional standards and deadlines.
3. Manage corporate and personal tax mandates, including:

• Reviewing and supervising the preparation of T2 (corporate), T1 (personal), T3 (trusts), and T5013 (partnerships) tax returns.

Supervise, train, and mentor a small team of professionals, fostering their development and ensuring effective task distribution.

Maintain proactive communication with clients, addressing their needs and advising on financial, tax, and accounting matters.

Ensure quality control and compliance with current assurance and audit standards (ASPE).

Contribute to the strategic planning of the assurance department and ongoing process improvements.

Support business development by strengthening existing client relationships and exploring new opportunities.

Minimum requirements:
