Job Description

As an Assurance Manager [Non-Audit], Privately Held Business Group, your responsibilities will include:

• Collaborating with colleagues to deliver exceptional client service
• Leading the coaching and performance management/development for direct reports
• Participating in the recruitment process
• Planning, leading, and executing client engagements
• Managing the work assignment and performance of engagement team members
• Analysis and review of corporate and personal income tax returns
• Proactive problem-solving with engagement teams and clients
• Applying strategies for delivering profitable services
• Being a leader in the Firm by actively sharing leadership for Doane Grant Thornton culture
• Identifying and supporting new business opportunities
• Building our reputation as the preferred business advisors
• Other duties as required

Requirements

• Completed post-secondary degree/diploma or equivalent professional experience
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in public accounting or related industry
• Strong technical knowledge in assurance, accounting, and tax
• Strong planning and time management skills
• Agile in the face of change and proven problem-solver
• Articulate, inspiring, and versatile communicator
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Team player with ability to rally resources and work with others
• Ability to establish and develop meaningful business relationships
