Recruitment/Posting Title: Assistant Coach for Football

Overview

The Rutgers Division of Intercollegiate Athletics sponsors 24 intercollegiate sports, comprised of 14 women’s and 10 men’s programs, that compete at the Division I level. The Scarlet Knights are members of the prestigious Big Ten Conference.

Key Duties:
  • Assists in the coordination of an intercollegiate athletic program and has an understanding of technical knowledge of the sport of Football with the ability to develop student-athletes to their full potential.
  • A valid driver’s license is required; use of personal vehicle for travel is necessary.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of Big Ten Conference and NCAA rules relative to recruiting and knowledge of NCAA regulations relative to proper rules of play in the sport of football.
  • Good organization skills.
  • Ability to communicate with student-athletes and the media.
  • Computer literacy.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Collegiate football coaching and playing experience.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
  • Nights and weekends will be required.
Special Conditions:
  • Clean Driving Record.
