Job summary

Home Depot Canada is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Estimator/Project Coordinator to bid on commercial plumbing and heating systems across central and northern British Columbia. The role combines estimating with project coordination, takeoffs, change orders, and team support.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Estimator/Project Coordinator.
The hired candidate will work as a mechanical systems estimator to bid on projects for commercial plumbing and heating systems across central and northern British Columbia.
They will also support the team in the areas of project takeoffs, tracking, change orders, and other project based duties as required.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities and a solid understanding of mechanical & plumbing systems, ensuring that quotes and bids are creating a consistent pipeline of upcoming work. This role requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, and a commitment to quality management.
The person who fits best will work well in a privately owned smaller company with opportunity to grow.

Requirements

• Legally entitled to work permanently in Canada
• Fluent in verbal and written English
• Strong computer skills, preference to experience with project software
• Technical understanding of building mechanical systems including construction, engineering processes
• Experience in commercial plumbing preferred
• 2-3 years of estimation/project coordination experience
