What you'll do:
- As the first point of contact, provide quick and professional product information to customers
- Respond to customers promptly in person, by phone, or email
- Prepare quotes for small urgent orders
- Research products in catalogs and online as needed
- Ensure all items are available for customers according to their orders and schedules
- Build and maintain good relationships with customers and colleagues
- Initiate restocking near the counter as needed
- Load and unload products timely to meet delivery deadlines and customer commitments
- Receive incoming shipments and verify accuracy
- Quickly organize products in appropriate warehouse areas
- Prepare, pack, and ship customer orders, including shipping documentation
- Coordinate with transportation companies and internal/external customers to prioritize shipments
- Maintain safety and maintenance procedures in the shipping area
What you will bring:
- Previous technical experience in sales or customer service within wholesale or distribution sectors
- In-depth knowledge of plumbing (a plus)
- General computer skills, including Microsoft Office; experience with AS400 system is a plus
- Exceptional customer service and professional communication skills
