Job summary

Walmart Canada is seeking a Bakery Associate in Montreal to deliver outstanding customer service while maintaining the Bakery Department. You will help stock, present, and price products and ensure quality displays.

Following food safety, sanitation, and cold-chain procedures, you will prepare bakery items according to thawing and baking guidelines and keep displays safe and well-organized for customers.

• Must be 16 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise.
• Keep the department fully stocked with merchandise and ready for business.
• Ensure merchandise is properly signed and priced.
• Adhere to standards for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates.
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures and cleaning standards.
• Follow proper procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.
• Prepare bakery merchandise by thawing and baking according to guidelines to ensure quality and appearance.
• Ensure all displays are secured safely.

• Adheres to food safety and handling procedures and following sanitation and cleaning procedures.
• Follows proper procedures for; Ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.
• Prepares bakery merchandise by accurately following thawing and baking guidelines to ensure the quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise, such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
• Ensures all displays are secured in a safe and proper manner.

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $19.05.
