Baptist Housing is seeking a Resident Care Aide at Hallmark on the Park in Abbotsford, BC. You will support residents with daily living activities, following individualized care plans, and promoting wellness in a caring community.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from a recognized Resident Care Assistant Program.
  • Current registration with the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry is required.
  • First Aid Level 1 is required for external hires.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care to residents, including bathing, grooming, dressing and toileting.
  • Support residents with mobility, positioning and safe transferring techniques.
  • Assist with meal service and monitor nutrition and hydration.
  • Observe and report changes in health to the nursing team.

About the Role As a Resident Care Aide, you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate care to seniors in our residential community.

Your main responsibility will be assisting residents with daily activities, including personal care, grooming, and mealtimes, while promoting a safe and supportive environment.

You will follow personalized care plans designed to meet the unique needs of each resident, ensuring that they receive the highest standard of care.

Beyond providing physical assistance, you will engage with residents, fostering meaningful connections and contributing to their emotional and social well-being.

Working collaboratively with a dedicated care team, you will also ensure that residents feel respected and valued.

By maintaining accurate records and communicating regularly with nursing staff, you help ensure that each resident’s care plan is followed and continuously improved.

Hallmark on the Park, our three-story assisted living care community is nestled in an idyllic lake and park setting within Abbotsford.

Responsibilities: Provide personal care to residents, including assistance with bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.

Maintain accurate documentation and participate in care planning.

Requirements

  • Graduation from a recognized Resident Care Assistant Program
  • Current registration and in good standing with the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry
  • First Aid Level 1 (required for external hires)
  • High school diploma
  • Current Food Safe certificate
  • Current WHMIS certification
