Manulife Investment Management (MIM) Advisor Group, a division of Global Wealth and Asset Management, delivers financial and investment solutions and advice, including financial planning and insurance, to clients across the wealth spectrum.

The Associate Wealth & Retirement Advisor is a member of a team of wealth advisors delivering wealth and retirement advice to Manulife clients. The Advisor will be an employee of Manulife, advising clients from Manulife’s Group Retirement, Group Benefits, Insurance, Bank, and other channels.

As an Associate Wealth & Retirement Advisor, you will service clients by providing advice, financial planning, and other core solutions aligned with their wealth and retirement goals. Through discovery conversations, you will identify opportunities to involve more senior advisors for additional advice and solutions, then seamlessly introduce clients to such professionals.

Position Responsibilities

  1. Identify your client’s life and financial goals
  2. Provide financial and investment advice, including securities, using our array of investment and portfolio solutions, including proprietary and third-party options
  3. Acquire and consolidate client assets and provide insurance solutions
  4. Connect clients with the right Manulife partners and professionals, including senior advisors, to meet their needs and add value
  5. Communicate effectively with clients, respond to needs, resolve issues, and follow up as appropriate
  6. Utilize digital financial planning tools to assist clients in developing financial plans
  7. Collaborate with Manulife partners to enhance customer value
  8. Follow risk and compliance policies to safeguard client assets, maintain privacy, act in clients’ best interests, and ensure regulatory compliance

Required Qualifications

  • University degree and/or 1-2 years industry experience, including client meetings
  • MFDA or IIROC license (IIROC preferred with Conduct & Practices Handbook (CPH) completed)
  • Life License (LLQP) required
  • IQPF designation, or to be obtained within 2 years of employment

  • Bilingual preferred but not required
