Associate Vice President, Business Development Executive

This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Toronto office. This is dependent on role and aligns with in country smart working policy.

What the day will look like

  • Collaborate with regional staff to identify and develop new group & affinity opportunities and increase engagement with existing groups
  • Educate branch staff on sales and service requirements for group & affinity development.
  • Regularly liaise with Account Executives across various sectors (health, wealth, commercial), advising on status and developments, and arranging joint meetings.
  • Create presentations and support introductions to prospective clients.
  • Present comfortably to colleagues and clients.
  • Complete necessary group documentation for proper distribution.
  • Work with insurance carriers to place groups and monitor their development.
  • Develop and implement annual marketing plans for groups.
  • Collaborate with group sponsors to execute plans and employee engagement.
  • Prepare marketing material with the team for group & affinity development.
  • Travel, after-hours, and weekend commitments may be required.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating best practices across all business lines.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Proven experience in business development, preferably within the CPG industry
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Epic
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
  • RIBO license required
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
