Associate Veterinarian – Fredericton Veterinary Urgent Care

The urgent care model provides an engaging caseload, focusing on sick or urgent cases without the daily routine vaccines, spays, neuters and preventative medicine.

What you’ll need to be successful:

Medical:

  • Perform physical examinations, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for each individual patient
  • Review and analyze lab results and diagnostic records
  • Perform surgical intervention as needed (Pyometra, Foreign Body, Cystotomy, being the most common)
  • Transition patients to overnight care as needed and communicate effectively with referral hospitals in order to ensure continuity of patient care
  • Document patient medical and surgical records with detail
  • Develop a rapport with clients, understand their desires, clearly communicate plans and findings

Leadership:

  • Promotes team-first and transparent practices that allow candor and feedback
  • Mentors and maintains a healthy hospital culture motivated to excel
  • Communicate amongst team members to optimize workflow and act as a leader within the hospital

The Candidate

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited university
  • Licensure in good standing to practice in the province of New Brunswick
